Overview

The Inverter Data Stick is a dedicated data acquisition terminal designed for distributed PV inverters. The PBox8628 connects directly to inverters via RS485, RS232, or USB interfaces. On power-up, it automatically identifies and matches communication protocols from 50+ brands and 2000+ inverter models including Huawei, Sungrow, Ginlong, Goodwe, Growatt, and Chint, collecting generation power, voltage, current, daily yield, and fault alarm data. In a typical deployment scenario, data reaches the cloud within 5 minutes of plugging in the device.

The data stick supports 4G Cat1/Cat4 full-netcom, Wi-Fi, and wired Ethernet for cloud upload. Data is encrypted and transmitted via MQTT/HTTP protocols to the Lingqi device cloud or any third-party platform specified by the user. The device features 128MB of onboard cache, storing up to 30 days of inverter operational data during network outages, and automatically resumes upload when connectivity is restored. Total power consumption is under 2W, supporting DC 9-36V or USB power, with a compact form factor that plugs directly into the inverter communication port.
